Bachata Retreat in Mexico City

Dates: February 12-16, 2026 (5 days, 4 nights)

Train like a pro. Connect like a local. Experience Mexico City like never before.

Spend 5 unforgettable days dancing Bachata every day, connect with passionate dancers from around the world, and enjoy everything Mexico City has to offer.

Here’s what you’ll experience:

  • 12 hours of personalized, small-group training. No cookie-cutter combos or "random" group classes. Every session will be custom-designed around your goals and growth as a dancer.

  • Bachata socials every night. Dance with locals and expats at the best socials in town, always knowing you’ve got your crew to fall back on.

  • A floating Bachata party.Ā Cruise through Xochimilco on a colorful Trajinera with non-stop Bachata dancing on the water.Ā

Just book your flight and accommodations, and we'll handle the rest.Ā

Ā

šŸ‘€ Who's going?Ā

We capped our event at 25 students.

This event is NOT like your typical big, commercial Bachata congress.

This experience is an intimate, small-group retreat for beginner/intermediate dancers (1-3 years of Bachata experience).

Our entire group (including our teachers)Ā willĀ connect on and off the dance floor.

We will train together. Eat together. Explore the city together. Party together. Go to socials together.Ā

You'll come in as strangers and leaveĀ feeling likeĀ lifelong friends.Ā

Ā

šŸ¤“ What will you learn?

Unlike other festivals teaching cookie-cutter combo classes, we custom-create the curriculum based on YOUR needs.

IfĀ you're accepted, we will ask you directly what you'd like to learn. We will even look at yourĀ social dance videosĀ and make our own judgments.

From there, the teachers will get together to develop the training that the group needs.Ā

This ensuresĀ that every hour of training has the highest leverage and the most relevant lessons to improve your social dance.Ā

Unlike big group classes, we have a ratio of 1 teacher to 5 students. This means you will receive a ton of personalized feedback throughout the week.

The learning goal is for every student to leave a WAY better dancer than when they arrived.Ā

Ā

šŸ‡²šŸ‡½ Why are you doing this?

I’ve lived in CDMX for 3 years and have fallen in love with the dance community and Mexican culture here. It has honestly been one of the best experiences of my life.

Combined with my passions for Bachata training with intention and professional experience in building community, this retreat was a no-brainer.Ā

If you’re excited by the idea of intensive Bachata training, a close-knit dance crew, and an immersive cultural adventure… I’d love to have you. 🧔

Tam Pham

Ā
Tam is the founder of Bachata Library, a step-by-step system to transform people into amazing social dancers.

After years of struggling with shallow, ineffective classes that taught all the wrong things, he realized no one was teaching what actually mattered. So he quit his job to train full-time across Mexico, Canada, Spain, and Poland... determined to figure it out himself.

Now, he helps dancers skip the guesswork and level up through his course, content, and retreats like this one.
